Q. I took my transponder home with me! How do I return it?

A. It happens! In the chaos of packing up and heading out, transponders can go home with you on accident. Per Podium Promotions (PP) policy, if transponders are not returned by close of the registration trailer on Sunday, your transponder deposit will be charged for the $250 you agreed to when you took possession of your transponder. (*see the transponder rental policy below that you signed at the race.)

You may return it (and don’t forget the clip! The clip is $5) to PP. Once the transponder is received at the PP main office, you will receive $225 back minus the $25 loss of use and processing charge and an additional $5 if you don’t send back the clip as well.

Instructions for returning: Simply send it to us with your:

• Name
• The name on the credit card that was used
• Racer’s name
• Round #

Your deposit will be refunded as quickly as possible

Please allow 5-7 business days for the credit to show up on your credit card statement.

Mail Transponders to via United States Postal Service: (It is also highly recommended that you get a tracking number and insurance when returning. PP is NOT responsible for lost or stolen transponders in transit.)

*Per PP’ policy, a hold deposit of $250.00 is required using either cash or a VALID credit card. (if the credit card you use for your deposit is not valid, your race results will be DSQ’d.) The Transponder rental is for the race weekend consisting Saturday and Sunday whether the Transponder is used or not. The racer/renter understands and acknowledges that damaged or missing clips will be charged $5.00 and all damaged transponders or transponders not returned to PP within posted registration trailer hours to an Official PP employee by close of Sunday will be charged the $250.00 deposit. (Zip Ties provided by PP at the time of rental are a COURTESY ONLY. PP does NOT guarantee the security or integrity of the zip ties. It is the responsibility of the racer to secure the Transponder to their bike using additional measures if necessary.) If the racer/renter keeps the Transponders past closing on Sunday and wishes to return the Transponder and clip back to PP at a later date, the racer/renter will be refunded the $250.00 minus a handling and loss of use fee of $25.00. If the transponder is returned without the clip, an additional charge of $5.00 will be added.
